Solidarity with firefighters strike

Firefighters in the FBU will be striking in defence of pensions and working until too old:

  • Between noon and 5pm on Friday 2 May,
  • Between 2pm on Saturday 3 May and 2am on Sunday 4 May and
  • Between 10am and 3pm on Sunday 4 May.

Rewley Rd station near Said Business School in town centre was the main focus for pickets last time.  Please show your support. A victory for the firefighters is a victory for everyone who wants to see an alternative to austerity and cuts.


Oxford May Day March

Called by Oxford & District Trades Council 

Celebrating International Workers Day and marching against austerity.  For a Living Wage and a ban on Zero Hour Contracts!

Sat 3rd May - Assemble 11.30 am Manzil Way, East Oxford to march to Bonn Square.


 

Stand up to UKIP

UKIP is a racist far-right party that loves the rich. It stirs up racism against immigrants, scapegoating them - rather than the rich and the employers - for unemployment, austerity and the economic crisis.

There willl be mass leafleting and petitioning of public against UKIP in Bonn Square at 12 noon on Saturday 10th May.  Sample leaflet can be download from here
